Techincal Tour

Following the tradition of the previous T-LOG conferences, we have arranged two technical tours on the third day (September 10th, 2018), which cover two popular visiting sights in Dalian:

Tour #1:(9:00-11:00, Sep. 10)
Port of Dayao Bay
The northernmost ice-free port in China.
The second largest container transshipment hub in mainland China.
The largest multi-purpose port in Northeast China serving the seaports North Asia, East Asia, and the Pacific Rim.

 
 
Tour #2: (14:00-16:00, Sep. 10)
Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone
The largest free trade zone in China.
An export-oriented automotive industry base.

 
The following are some messages related to the tours.
★ Buses will leave on time.
★ Photo or video taking is allowed in the Port of Dayao Bay and the Free Trade Zone.
★ It is fine to leave the tours earlier so as to catch the departure flights at Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.


Introductions to the Visiting Organizations
 
Port of Dayao Bay

On December 5, 1988, the construction of the Port of Dayao Bay came into operation. As one of China’s four international deep-water entreports, Port of Dayao Bay is a port project which is supported by government world bank loans and international bidding, with total investment of nearly one billion RMB. On July 2, 1993, the Port of Dayao Bay officially started to operate. Deputy prime minister Zou Jiahua cut the ribbon for the opening, laying the foundation for the latter six berths of the first phase of the project.

Port of Dayao Bay is a container terminal of the Dalian Port and several other shipping companies. It is adjacent to Dalian Port within the emerging economic circle center in northeast Asia. Besides, it is adjacent to Dalian economic and technological development zone and dalian bonded area, 15 kilometers away from Shenyang - Dalian highway and over 40 kilometers from Dalian city center.  


Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone

Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone is a regional free trade zone that Chinese government set up in Liaoning province. It is one of the third batch of seven free trade zones in China. On March 31, 2017, the state council issued a general plan for the free trade zone of China (Liaoning). Its strategic position is to accelerate the reform of system and mechanism from market perspective as well as actively promote structural adjustment in order to become the new engine for enhancing overall competency and opening level during development of northeast rust belt. The developmental goal is to build a high standard free trade zone with agminated high-end industries, convenient investment and trade, complete financial services, efficient and convenient regulation, and normative legal environment after three to five years of reform and exploration, in order to achieve transformation of economic development pattern and improve the quality and level of economic development in northeast of China.
