Introduction

Theme: Regional Coordination & Cooperation in Transportation Logistics, and the Belt and Road Initiative

Due to world trade liberalization and global logistics operation, world cargo volume has been increasing in an unprecedented fashion for the past several decades, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. This exceptional grow path has led to tremendous challenges to logistics professionals. With the development of information and communication technology and the support of data-driven and optimization-based decision making, intelligent logistics plays a crucial role in managing global supply chains. As an excellent platform to facilitate the interaction among the logistics professionals, T-LOG 2018 will be hosted by Dalian Maritime University located in Dalian - a city known as the pearl of northern China. The conference will serve as a great opportunity for both academics and practitioners to exchange their information and knowledge as well as to work on the issues and problems related to transportation and logistics.

  • The 2nd T-LOG Conference in 2007 was hosted by Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, China.
  • The 3rd T-LOG Conference in 2010 was hosted by University of Tokyo and Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan.
  • The 4th T-LOG Conference in 2012 was hosted by Korean Transport Institute and Korea Maritime University in Busan, Korea.
  • The 5th T-LOG Conference in 2014 was hosted by Chulalongkorn University and Burapha University in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • The 6th T-LOG Conference in 2016 was hosted by National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
